Summary

Validate actual administrative elevation and propagate failures from required startup operations.

Changes

  • verify the admin token instead of trusting the admin argument;
  • check required commands and extracted directories;
  • propagate user-list creation failures;
  • quote command lookup;
  • use safer elevation argument construction and return codes.

Validated locally: a non-elevated admin invocation exits before the menu, and existing user lists remain unchanged.
